Chelsea continue to be strongly linked with a move to sign Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho. Will he be at Stamford Bridge by the time the summer transfer window closes, though?
Even though the Blues have recruited Jamie Gittens for the left wing, the transfer noise around Man Utd attacker Alejandro Garnacho won’t go away.
Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Garnacho ahead of a potential move, but now they need to reach an agreement with Premier League rivals Man Utd for a deal. Incidentally, journalist Fabrizio Romano expects Garnacho to join Chelsea before the summer window shuts.

Chelsea discuss four players in potential Alejandro Garnacho swap deal
According to GiveMeSport, Garnacho is still expected to complete a move to West London this summer, but there is work to do during the transfer negotiations.
It is explained that Chelsea and Man Utd are in direct talks about a potential deal. While the Blues only want to pay around £30m for the Argentine forward, he’s valued at £50m by Old Trafford officials.
The report says that Chelsea have offered the chance to include some of their players as part of a swap deal. Even though Blues stars Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi and Renato Veiga have been discussed, Man Utd’s answer is they would prefer straight cash despite admiring some of the players offered to them.

In fairness, he enjoyed a strong 2024/25 season, scoring 11 goals and creating 10 assists across all competitions. The exciting wide player is now looking to kick on and join the exciting project at Chelsea, though.
We would argue there is no guarantee that he would start in the strongest Blues XI, but he’s certainly got incredible potential and ability.
Chelsea fans want Estevao Willian and Pedro Neto starting as the wide pair for the opening game of the Premier League season at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday. That would leave Gittens and Tyrique George out of the XI, but Garnacho must be confident that he can thrive in the environment.
