Celtic have been linked with a shock move for West Ham playmaker Andy Irving.

And reports suggest the Irons would be willing to do business for around £3.5million.

The Hoops are overloaded with midfield options with Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, Benji Nygren, Arne Engels, Luke McCowan and Paulo Bernardo all battling it out for starts.

However, Hammers News has claimed the Scottish champions had lodged a bid for Scotland cap Irving.

Former Hearts star Irving, 25, made 11 appearances under Graham Potter last season and spent time on loan with Austria Klagenfurt the year before.

It's believed Celtic's priority is to land two wingers, a main striker and cover for Kieran Tierney at left-back.

Meanwhile, multiple outlets in Italy suggest that ex-Hoops hero Matt O'Riley has agreed a five-year contract with Juventus.

Denmark international O'Riley quit Parkhead for Brighton in a £25million switch last summer.

But the ex-MK Dons star endured an injury-hit debut season for the Premier League club, scoring twice in 23 outings.

O'Riley had been linked with Serie A winners Napoli and rivals Roma earlier in the window but it's now claimed that the 24-year-old has agreed personal terms with Juve.

The bumper contract is said to be worth £2.6million-a-year, which works out around £50k a week.

However, it's believed the Bianconeri must offload players to fund the deal, with Douglas Luiz, Weston McKennie and Fabio Miretti all heading towards the exit.
