Man United believe they can raise up to £100m from the sales of Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund, according to reports.
Both players have been deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Ruben Amorim and they are expected to leave Old Trafford before the transfer window shuts.
ESPN claim there is optimism that the Red Devils can bring in a sizeable amount from the pair’s departure, which could be used to finance a move for Brighton’s Carlos Baleba.

The Manchester club have been speaking to the 21-year-old’s representatives over the weekend as they weigh up a formal bid for the player.
What is the situation with Garnacho?
It has been reported that the Argentinian international has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, and he is keen on securing his move to Stamford Bridge.
However, there is still some work to do when it comes to the transfer fee. United are said to have slapped a £50m price tag on Garnacho, while Chelsea are only willing to pay £30m.
For Baleba to be a realistic target, the Red Devils can’t really afford to compromise on the valuation they have set for Garnacho.
Will Hojlund leave Man United?
The situation is slightly different with the Dane. Up until very recently, the forward was reluctant to leave, but the arrival of Benjamin Sesko has forced him to reassess his options.
AC Milan are the heavy favourites to secure Hojlund’s signature, but any move is expected to be a loan – at least initially.
The Rossoneri would need to pay the 22-year-old’s wage in full, as well as stump up a substantial loan fee. The main bone of contention is thought to be the size of the purchase clause.
Milan are reportedly hoping to pay closer to €30m, while United would want the option to buy nearer to €40m. Either way, raising £100m from the sales of the two players does seem rather unlikely.
