ILLIA Zabarnyi has left the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) to join Champions League winners PSG.

The Ukrainian departs Bournemouth for a fee of €63million, plus €3m in add-ons.

It’s understood the add-ons are very achievable.

Zabarnyi was very keen on the move due to the size of the Parisien club, off the back of their Champions League success last season, where they beat Inter 5-0 in the final.

The move also represents more success for the Cherries recruitment team, seeing Zabarnyi leave for a sizeable profit on the reported £24m he signed for back in January 2023.

Since he signed, Zabarnyi has made 86 appearances for Bournemouth across all competitions, scoring once.

He was a mainstay of Andoni Iraola’s team, missing just three league games for the Cherries under the Basque boss.

In a statement, the club thanked Zabarnyi for his “dedication and contribution while with the club”.

He joins fellow centre back Dean Huijsen and left back Milos Kerkez in leaving the club this summer, with Huijsen joining Real Madrid and Kerkez Liverpool.

To replace Huijsen and Zabarnyi in central defence, Bafode Diakite has travelled to the UK for a medical ahead of a move from Lille.

Iraola has said he would like two centre backs in, though, with the departure of such an effective pair from last season.

Kerkez was replaced by Adrien Truffert, who was signed from Rennes at the start of the transfer window.
