Leeds United have built a squad capable of competing well in this season’s Premier League, but they are not finished spending yet.
Daniel Farke has signed strong and experienced players this summer, but if there’s one position where they’re perhaps looking weak, it’s up front.
Lukas Nmecha has been signed from Wolfsburg, but manager Farke has vowed to continue hunting players to strengthen Leeds’ attack.
And it appears that he’s not done pursuing Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.

Leeds continue to pursue Rodrigo Muniz amid Atalanta interest
It had appeared that Leeds had given up on their pursuit of Muniz, but the saga has taken a twist of sorts.

The Brazilian forward said he preferred a move to Atalanta, and the door seemed open for him to move there.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition reports on Tuesday that Leeds are still challenging Atalanta for the striker.
Their continued pursuit is causing “a game of chess” with Atalanta, and supposedly helping Fulham to drive up their asking price.
Leeds are said to have already fallen short with one previous bid, with Fulham seeking a fee of around £39million.
Muniz would likely become one of Leeds’ highest paid players if he does sign at Elland Road, but isn’t slowing down their pursuit either.
The 24-year-old scored 11 goals for Fulham last season, and it’s suggested he could be the missing piece of the puzzle to help Leeds avoid relegation.

A proven striker could make all the difference for Leeds in Premier League
It’s the ultimate gift that every Premier League manager wants in his squad. A 20-goal-a-season striker.
Statistics show that goalscorers as consistent as that are hard to come by.
Still, if a promoted side can sign a striker capable of troubling Premier League defences, it can make all the difference to their fortunes.
Daniel Farke isn’t sure if he has that. Nmecha is a promising young signing, but he isn’t proven at the highest level. Patrick Bamford has the top-flight pedigree but seemingly has no future at Leeds. Farke doesn’t seem ready to rely on Joel Piroe either.

It’s not clear whether Muniz is the answer, but Farke looks ready to move and heaven and earth to sign him.
Leeds remain the underdogs for his signature, but crazier things have happened in the transfer market this summer.
