Welcome to KUMB's latest transfer rumour round-up - five stories from around the web featuring players potentially on West Ham's shopping list, or current Hammers on the radar of other clubs...

Romano Schmid

West Ham United continue to keep tabs on the Werder Bremen attacking midfielder, who is also on the radar of Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Brentford.

Available for a fee in the region of €20million, the 25-year-old Austrian has 22 caps for his country having made his debut three years ago and was an integral part of Werder Bremen's team last season. While not considered a top-tier name on Graham Potter's summer wish list, he is another potential alternative should offers for preferred candidates such as Mateus Fernandes - for whom an opening offer is expected to be made this week - fail to bear fruit.

Ruben Neves

Considered to be a potential back-up option should other preferable deals fall through, West Ham are exploring a move for 28-year-old Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves.

Currently playing for Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, whom he recently represented in the Club World Cup, the Hammers are understood to be considering an offer for the £40million-plus rated former Wolves skipper, who has 58 caps for Portugal. A season-long loan deal in east London is seen as the most likely option, with the club unlikely to consider investing so much in a player with his best years already behind him and who moved for £47million just 12 months ago.

Ngal'ayel Mukau

Having impressed for the visitors during West Ham's penalty shootout win against Lille on Saturday, Graham Potter is keen to explore a deal for the 20-year-old Congo international.

Although he has been on the club's radar for some considerable time, Mukua - who controlled the midfield during the first half of Saturday's clash at the London Olympic Stadium - was initially considered as another back-up option should bids for Southampton's Fernandes fall through. However he may be considered as an additional prospective signing, should Lille be prepared to do a deal for reasonable numbers; the Ligue 1 side are understood to have slapped (ouch) an asking price of €20million on the 6'2", Belgian-born player.

Rodrigo Muniz

West Ham are reported to have reignited their interest in the Fulham forward, according to reports emanating from Italy.

While Muniz is reported to be top of Serie A side Atalanta's wish list for the current transfer window, it has been suggested they will be competing with the Hammers for the player's signature. West Ham were previously linked with a move for the 24-year-old Brazilian back in January, upon Graham Potter's arrival and during Julen Lopetegui's short reign. A fee of £40million is being touted as the necessary figure required to persuade the Cottagers to part company with the 6'1" goalscorer, who scored eight goals in 31 appearances last season,

Andy Irving

Celtic are reported to be interested in West Ham's surplus-to-requirements, Scottish midfielder.

Unsubstantiated claims of an offer in the region of £2million have been made in the last 24 hours, which West Ham are similarly suggested to have rejected having purportedly demanded a fee of £3.5million. However that would appear unlikely given Graham Potter's desire to move the player on in order to free up space in his first team squad, of which Irving is currently a member (having been granted the #39 shirt for next season).

And today's one for luck...

Kurt Zouma

Former Hammer Kurt Zouma is closing in on a short-term contract with Spanish club Osasuna.

Alessio Lisci's is hoping to improve his defensive options ahead of the transfer deadline and with very little money to play with, the 30-year-old has emerged as a viable option. A free agent since having been released by West Ham, Zouma spent the final season of his contract with Al-Orobah in the Saudi Pro League but is available once again with no plans to return to the Middle East. Valencia has previously been linked with a move, but are said to have eventually ruled it out due to "controversies in which he had been involved".
