Ruben Amorim watched two Manchester United youth academy products face their toughest test to date after they crossed paths with striker Benjamin Sesko in training.
The 40-year-old Manchester United manager is looking ahead to the start of the 2025-26 Premier League season at Old Trafford on Sunday against rivals Arsenal.
United defeated Fiorentina on penalties in their final pre-season match on Saturday, with the signing of striker Benjamin Sesko being announced on the same day.
Sesko had been linked with both United and Newcastle in recent weeks and the 22-year-old Slovenian chose to leave RB Leipzig and move to Old Trafford this summer.
United fans watched former RB Leipzig striker Sesko take to the pitch at Old Trafford alongside his fellow summer signings ahead of the Red Devils’ clash vs Fiorentina.
Sesko is now being integrated into the United first-team squad under Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim and the Slovenian forward took part in training on Sunday.

Jacob Devaney and Rhys Bennett faced a major challenge playing against Man Utd striker Benjamin Sesko
Benjamin Sesko arrived at the Carrington training complex on the weekend and the ex-RB Leipzig ace was put to the test immediately during his first training session.
However, the Slovenia international dazzled during his first-team training under Ruben Amorim and Sesko impressed United fans with what he did in the session.
Isaac Stacey Stronge produced a write-up of the Slovenia striker’s training session and academy talents Jacob Devaney and Rhys Bennett crossed paths with Sesko.
Speaking in his piece on Manchester United’s official website, he revealed that Sesko played as the striker and he was “locked in tussles” with the two academy products.
According to Isaac Stacey Stronge, defender Bennett and midfielder Devaney “fought well” with the physicality that the former RB Salzburg forward offered.
However, Sesko showed a different class and the “elite” striker was able to escape both of his markers before he netted for his side in a short match in training.

Benjamin Sesko makes an early Man Utd promise ahead of the Red Devils’ 2025-26 Premier League encounter vs Arsenal
Sesko had his first United interview after his blockbuster summer move and he insisted that it is only a “matter of time” before the Red Devils find their stride.
“Just that we get better, that we connect together, in general, and we, as a team, just try to grow, to grow together step by step because we’re getting better,” he told MUTV, as per Manchester United’s official website.
Sesko added: “We’re just even more complete and complete. It’s just a matter of time when we can fly high again.”
United beat Newcastle in the race to sign Sesko from Leipzig and the Red Devils agreed to pay an initial transfer fee of £66.3m for the former Arsenal target.
