Two of the three hottest footballers in the Premier League play for Arsenal.

Generally, at London World, we’re not the biggest fans of hot or not lists, being big believers that everyone is sexy in their own unique way.

However, when a press release ranking the ‘most attractive players in the Premier League’ dropped into my inbox this morning, I had to have a look.

We’re 90s babies after all! And we lived through the era of Wags and David Beckham.

To my delight, it’s an Arsenal defender who takes the top spot as the hottest player in the Prem right now - and let’s be real, it’s kind of hard to argue.

Boffins over at Best Betting ranked the players using the Golden Ratio - a mathematical formula dating back to ancient Greece, which has long been associated with perfect beauty and balance.

Each player was given a score out of 100 and then ranked accordingly.

Jakub Kiwior topped a scientific beauty contest of all 448 Premier League stars with a score of 79.12 out of 100.

Manchester City keeper Ederson just missed out on the top spot, scoring 78.96. Arsenal also saw Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino grab third place at 78.52, giving the Gunners two players in the top three.

Bournemouth's Ukrainian centre-back Illia Zabarnyi secured fourth with 78.50, while England keeper Jordan Pickford completed the top five with 78.48.

The results showed defenders are officially the Premier League's best-looking players. They bagged six of the top ten spots while goalkeepers claimed two positions and midfielders took the remaining pair. Not a single striker made the cut despite many being fan favourites.

Man United placed two defenders in the top tier, with Argentine Lisandro Martínez taking sixth place at 78.26 and England regular Luke Shaw finishing seventh with 77.97.

A spokesperson from BestBettingSignupOffers.co.uk, commented on the findings: “The Premier League might be known for beautiful football, but our study shows some teams have beautiful players too. Arsenal fans will be pleased to see they have the most attractive player and two in the top three.

“What's striking is how teams like Southampton and Brentford rank higher for attractiveness than traditional powerhouses like Manchester United and Chelsea. The top spots are very tight, with just 0.06 points separating the three most attractive teams.”
