**A big new update has emerged regarding Alexander Isak’s Newcastle United future, with the striker reportedly making a huge personal decision.**
The Swede has been the Reds’ dream attacking target for much of the summer, having already signed Florian Wirtz for a club record fee.
For now, Newcastle are holding firm, though, rejecting Liverpool’s first offer for Isak and now forcing him to train on his own.
Isak remains hellbent on leaving St James’ Park during the current transfer window, however, and a new update from [_The Times_](https://www.thetimes.com/sport/football/article/alexander-isak-moves-out-of-newcastle-home-sbw5xbvtw) highlights where his mind is at currently.
They report that the 25-year-old’s home in the North East “was put on the rental market the day after he was omitted from Newcastle United’s players and families day”, adding that he “had lived there for three years since he moved to Newcastle for £63million from Real Sociedad in 2022.”
**Will Liverpool end up with Isak this summer?**
------------------------------------------------
While this is far from a guaranteed sign that Liverpool will end up signing Isak from Newcastle, it further highlights his level of unrest at the club.
The Reds are yet to make a second offer for the striker, but until the Magpies sign at least one new centre forward, their stance is unlikely to change.
If Liverpool do manage to end up striking a stunning deal for Isak, it would be a huge moment in the window, significantly strengthening their Premier League title hopes.
The Newcastle star is one of the best strikers in the world, with Reds legend [Jamie Carragher](https://www.premierleague.com/en/news/4213784) claiming he is unrivalled in the Premier League currently.
_“He is the best striker in the Premier League right now, and he is, I don’t think it’s actually close right now, I think he’s the real standout. He’s not just a goalscorer, you’re seeing some of his touches, and I can never forget the first time I saw him play live._
_“It was a couple of years ago, maybe two or three years ago at Anfield, very early on in the season, he scored a goal, he ran through, and the thing about him is, when he’s got a chance to score or he’s got to finish, he’s one of those strikers you never expect him to miss, he’s always got that coolness in front of goal.”_
The next week or two promise to be intriguing, but Liverpool must try and be as ruthless as possible, sealing the signing of a game-changing addition in the process.
