Another big twist in the Alexander Isak saga has now emerged this Tuesday.
Isak was absent once more from Newcastle United’s weekend friendlies, with speculation over his future showing no sign of dying down.
The Swedish forward, who has been repeatedly linked with a summer switch to Liverpool, remains embroiled in a tense standoff with the Tyneside outfit.
This latest no-show follows a turbulent spell that began when he pulled out of Newcastle’s pre-season tour of Asia — the official explanation being a minor thigh problem.
After the Athletic already reported that the Swede feels like he will never play for the Magpies again, another bomb has dropped.
The Times have reported that Isak has moved out of his house in Newcastle and has no plans to return, with reporter Martin Hardy revealing:
“The home in the North East that Alexander Isak has been living in was put on the rental market the day after he was omitted from Newcastle United’s players and families day.”
“Isak, 25, was the only member of Newcastle’s first-team squad not allowed at the bonding day held at the club’s training ground last week.”
“The striker’s desire to leave is so strong that he has moved out of the property in Ponteland, with the owner now seeking new tenants.”
According to the report, Isak had been based at the property for three years, having moved in after his £63 million transfer from Real Sociedad to Newcastle in 2022.
The house was first listed for rent on July 24 – the same day the striker flew to Spain for personal training instead of joining Newcastle’s pre-season tour of Asia.
At the time, it was advertised at £6,950 per month, with Isak spending the following days working at his former club, Real Sociedad.
The listing was quickly withdrawn once he returned to Tyneside, but The Times now reports that the home, once again vacant, has been re-listed through a local rental agency.
