A number of clubs are in for one Wolves player who looks set for an exit, but he’s made his preference clear with an offer now on the table.
Wolves have had no qualms with selling players this summer, with 13 departures confirmed already.
This has left the squad looking bare, but it’s likely more exits will come before deadline day.
Despite an evident lack of options going forward, one attacker has been heavily linked with a move away, and the pressure is now on Fosun to make a deal.
Fabio Silva has accepted personal terms from Roma but rumoured fee is far below Wolves’ valuation
There has been interest in Silva from clubs all over Europe. Multiple German sides need to replace their star strikers after a Premier League summer raid, and the Portuguese forward is an attractive option.
Goncalo Guedes’ new club, Real Sociedad, are interested too, but Silva’s preference for Roma has been made clear.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, the Italian side have offered Silva a five-year contract at £41,000/week, but Roma sporting director Frederic Massara doesn’t want to pay more than £11 million. Wolves are firm on their £17 million asking price, but pressure to sell the player with just one year left on his deal may force Fosun’s hand.
There was talk of a loan-to-buy move, but that would require Wolves to negotiate a contract extension, something they would rather avoid.

Wolves need to find replacement if Fabio Silva is to be sold
Already, Vitor Pereira could do with another attacker. If Silva is to leave, that want becomes a categorical need.
Jorgen Strand Larsen will lead the line next season, but if he was to miss time, Wolves would be in big trouble from a goal-scoring perspective.
The Matthis Abline deal looks dead in the water, with the player unconvinced by the project. David Datro Fofana has attracted interest from Wolves, and would be a solid backup option if they can reach an agreement with Chelsea.
If not, another target needs to be identified hastily, with just under three weeks left to do business.
Player power is a real thing, and Silva is attempting to rush Wolves into this sale. But to recoup just £11 million of the £35 million invested in him five years ago would be a kick in the teeth for Fosun, and could harm Wolves’ chances of signing a quality replacement.
