Valencia keen on Nottingham Forest player – Playing patience game for good deal

Last summer, Nottingham Forest signed David Carmo from FC Porto and sent him on loan to Olympiacos.

The 26-year-old’s contract with the Reds lasts until 2029, but he could be on the move again.

Greek journalist Antonis Oikonomidis reported Valencia made an offer and the Nottingham Forest player is keen on moving to Mestalla.

Tuesday’s edition of Levante-EMV, a newspaper local to the La Liga side, relays that and then shares their own updates.

Eray Cömert is one of the four centre-backs currently at the Spanish club. The newspaper reports manager Carlos Corberán isn’t counting on him and Los Ches are working on his exit.

Therefore, Valencia are in the market for a new central defender and Levante-EMV report they are keen on the Nottingham Forest defender. They’ll only consider making advances towards the end of the window and if Cömert were to move elsewhere.

In short, Valencia are looking for a reasonable deal late in the window, considering Nuno Espírito Santo isn’t counting on Carmo at Nottingham Forest. The manager wants him gone and if possible, via a permanent deal.

Jota Silva also has an uncertain future at Nottingham Forest. His desire is to join Sporting and they are also keen on signing him.

O Jogo reports Sporting are yet to unblock the negotiations with the Premier League club. That’s because the Lions want to sign the 26-year-old winger on loan with a purchase option, while the Reds want a sale.
