With the summer transfer window entering its final weeks, Arsenal have shifted their focus to offloading fringe players in a bid to balance the books and potentially free up funds for further reinforcements.

The Gunners retain an interest in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, but, according toBBC Sport’s Sami Mokbel, any serious move will depend on player sales, particularly in attack. Eze’s £68 million release clause has recently expired, and while Arsenal rate the England international highly, they would look to negotiate a deal below that figure.

The North London side have already invested heavily this summer, bringing in Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, and Martin Zubimendi, making outgoings a top priority. Among those who could depart is Leandro Trossard, with Borussia Dortmund showing interest in the 30-year-old winger.

Signed from Brighton in January 2023, Trossard has been a useful squad option but faces increased competition for minutes. A fee of around £20 million could prove crucial in funding further signings, though Arsenal are not actively forcing him out.

Academy graduate Reiss Nelson is also on the list of potential departures. The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Fulham, who remain keen on his return. While the Cottagers are open to another loan, Arsenal prefer a permanent deal to capitalise on his market value, with discussions ongoing.

Midfielder Fabio Vieira’s future is similarly uncertain. Signed from Porto for £34 million in 2022, the 24-year-old has struggled for game time under Mikel Arteta. Following a loan spell back at Porto last season, Stuttgart are now in talks for a deal worth around £20 million.

Arsenal have already bid farewell to Jorginho, Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey, and Takehiro Tomiyasu on free transfers, along with selling Marquinhos and Nuno Tavares.

With the Premier League opener against Manchester United on August 17 and the transfer deadline on September 1, the Gunners are keen to finalise outgoings swiftly to maintain squad balance and financial flexibility.
