Everton are now looking to secure the services of Tyrique George, having failed to strike a deal with Southampton for Tyler Dibling.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Everton are eyeing a move for Chelsea’s teenage attacking talent Tyrique George, who is prepared to leave in search of a bigger role. The Blues are open to either a loan or a permanent deal, provided their valuation is met.
George has been a part of the Chelsea setup since his childhood days. The youngster went up the ranks at some pace, and he was promoted to the first team towards the end of 2024. He was involved in a total of 26 first-team games last season and ended up contributing towards eight goals.
The 19-year-old is keen on having more minutes under his belt in the upcoming season, but that seems unlikely at Stamford Bridge, given the number of attacking signings they have made. As a result, George is open to parting ways with Chelsea despite having two years left on his deal with the West London club.
Everton have emerged as a potential destination. The Toffees have already made a statement, signing as Jack Grealish is set to join them on loan ahead of the next season. But they are not done yet, as David Moyes is still keen on adding a new right-winger.
Everton have shifted their focus to George
Southampton’s Tyler Dibling was their priority target. However, Everton have failed to secure his services as the Saints have rejected multiple offers from their end. According to Giulia Bould, the Toffees have moved on from Dibling as they are not willing to meet the EFL Championship club’s demands.
After failing to agree on a deal with the Saints last week, there have been no further contacts between the two clubs, as Everton have started exploring other targets. George is right up there on their wishlist. The teenage sensation can feature on either flank and can even chip in as an attacking midfielder when needed.
With him ready to leave Chelsea, Everton have a realistic chance of securing his services. They had scouted him last season and have received glowing reports. The Toffees could soon knock on the Blues’ door with an offer to get the deal done.
