Carney Chukwuemeka is not the only Chelsea player Borussia Dortmund could sign this summer.
Chukwuemeka spent the second half of last season at Dortmund, and the German club wanted to sign him again after his loan.
Talks over a return to Signal Iduna Park broke down, but since then it has emerged that Dortmund and Chelsea are holding discussions again about Chukwuemeka.
As well as the midfielder, the Bundesliga outfit also appear to be interested in one of Chelsea‘s defenders.

Borussia Dortmund revive interest in Renato Veiga
Renato Veiga has long been a target for Dortmund. In January, it was claimed that Veiga had actually agreed to join Dortmund when the 22-year-old was looking for a loan move.
According to Sky Sport, Dortmund also showed interest in Veiga before then and are considering the Portuguese once again following Niklas Sule’s injury.
Like Dortmund, Chelsea could also find themselves in the market as a result of their own injury problems.
The Club World Cup winners are set to be without Levi Colwill for the majority of the 2025/26 campaign after he damaged his ACL in training.

Chelsea should consider keeping hold of Renato Veiga
With Colwill expected to be out of action for a very long time, there is no harm in Chelsea retaining Veiga.
The Portugal international can play in central defence and at left-back, though the latter is no longer an issue following Jorrel Hato’s arrival.
Hato can operate in central defence, too, but the Dutchman does not have Veiga’s height, while the former Basel man also has a bit of experience playing in England.
Ultimately, Chelsea could save themselves some money by holding on to Veiga. It may make more sense than buying a new central defender or bringing one in on loan and paying their wages.
