Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler is unfazed by the prospect of losing his star players, expressing confidence that the Seagulls will always find a way to cope when their top talents are sold.

Carlos Baleba is the latest name being linked with a move away from the Amex Stadium, with Manchester United reportedly showing interest. United have set their sights on a midfielder after finalising a deal for Benjamin Sesko. The £74million transfer comes on the heels of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha joining Ruben Amorim's squad.

Brighton have already bid farewell to Joao Pedro this summer for a hefty fee, following the departures of Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo in recent seasons.

However, 32-year-old Hurzeler isn't worried about this trend continuing as the new season approaches.

While the Brighton boss highlighted instances where the club has resisted selling its stars, his stance might offer some encouragement to United. There was no explicit warning to keep hands off as Hurzeler discussed his team.

Hurzeler assured during an interview with the Monday Night Club: "We as a club always find solutions and I'm sure in the future we will find solutions. That's our model, we have to accept it.

"I think that as a club we have proved we are not only selling big players. We have had offers for other players - big offers for [Kaoru] Mitoma and other players. We proved that we are not selling every player.

"Of course there were some big players who left the club, but there are new players that are coming into the club. With the togetherness we have, with the team chemistry we have, we can compete with the big teams, and we can compete with teams who might be individually better than us."

Hurzeler maintains belief in his squad's capacity to weather any storm, declaring when questioned about concerns over potentially losing star performers: "No chance. I don't feel fear.

"I'm not afraid of anything because the only thing we can do is be the best version we can be every day, like work as hard as we can. All the other things we can't influence, so we really have to focus on us.

"For sure, we can't spend the money like the big teams but one of our biggest values is togetherness. And if you stay together, if we try to push our limits and increase the boundaries, then I'm sure we can compete with the big teams."
