Manchester United, Bournemouth and Southampton all make approaches for youngster

Manchester United, Bournemouth and Southampton have all made approaches for Pietro Comuzzo this summer, according to Tuttosport via CN24.

In a story which feels like some PR work for Fiorentina owner and president Rocco Benito Commisso, it’s explained that multiple clubs have come forward for the young defender over the past few weeks.

The 20-year-old made 40 appearances for Fiorentina last season, playing mainly as a central defender. He’s played for Italy at youth levels and whilst he’s been named in senior national squads he’s yet to make his debut for his country.

Commisso is said to rate the youngster very highly and has knocked back all of Manchester United, Bournemouth and Southampton. AC Milan are in the same boat, and Napoli tried to sign Comuzzo in January but were met with the same refusal.

Fiorentina are set against selling, and letting everyone know their owner is behind that stance, as he sees a very big future ahead for the defender.

How much is complete transfer truth and how much is somewhat exaggerated isn’t clear.
