Man United make Rasmus Hojlund decision amid transfer uncertainty

Manchester United have made an unusual Rasmus Hojlund decision after launching their new third kit for the upcoming Premier League season.

The smart design is likely to go down a treat with supporters as the predominantly black kit includes a yellow and blue trim. The Adidas strip was unveiled to the general public on Tuesday morning and while there was not anything overtly unusual about the launch, the Dane's involvement may raise eyebrows.

Hojlund was pictured alongside Mason Mount and Manuel Ugarte in the launch of the new strip despite his future at the club looking uncertain. This is an unusual decision to make because the player may no longer be a United player by the time the window closes.

MEN Sport reported this week that the striker was now open to the possibility of signing for AC Milan.

Throughout the summer, Hojlund had insisted that he saw his future at Old Trafford and was not interested in looking at other challenges. However, following the arrival of Benjamin Sesko last week, that mindset has now changed.

Instead, the Dane wishes to leave in order to gain regular playing time. The Serie A giants are leading the way for the forward and United are confident they could complete a deal for him.

Exactly whether the deal will be permanent or on loan is unclear. If United were to allow Hojlund to leave permanently, they would be looking for a price tag in the region of £30m.

Milan, under the stewardship of Max Allegri, would prefer a loan. Hojlund's time at United appeared to be drawing to a close on Saturday when he did not feature in the draw against Fiorentina.

Instead, Ruben Amorim opted to play Mount as a false nine before lamenting the lack of centre-forward presence in the team. United begin their Premier League campaign at home to Arsenal while Milan kick-off their season in Coppa Italia against Bari on August 17.
