That’s a frank statement from Beal, but does he really have a chance of finally becoming a champion with the Clippers?
On paper, they are one of the best teams in the league.
They are led by Kawhi Leonard and James Harden, and both of them have been looking quite good and healthy lately.
Los Angeles also has some young, developing talent and one of the greatest coaches in the NBA.
Still, a lot of people feel they are a long way from winning a title.
Their health is always a concern, and the fact that they have multiple aging stars doesn’t give fans much confidence.
This summer, the Clippers signed Chris Paul, which was a huge boon for the team and a moral boost, but he is 40 years old and might only play for one more season.
A couple of bad injuries could completely sideline this team, especially against an up-and-coming, robust Western Conference.
It’s been a few years since Beal was talked about as one of the most impactful players in the NBA, but he is ready to remind everyone what he is capable of.
He wants a ring, of course, but he also has a thing or two to prove to the rest of the league.
