Barcelona are reportedly targeting two more Malian starlets after bringing in Ibrahim Diarra to the club.
Diarra joined earlier this year and was due to be handed a chance with the senior squad on the club’s preseason tour of Asia, [until he was unfortunately ruled out through injury](/2025/7/19/24470406/barcelona-confirm-ibrahim-diarra-ruled-out-of-pre-season-tour-with-injury).
According to Diario Sport, Barcelona are now looking at bringing in Aboubacar Maiga and Moustapha Traoré from Africa Foot.
Maiga is a midfielder, described as having great vision and creativity. Barca scouts reportedly think he could be a “very interesting player” for the future.
Traore, meanwhile, is an exciting winger whose strengths lie in one-on-one situations and crossing. He’s also described as being similar to Diarra and is a skilful, speedy and powerful player.
Barcelona have an agreement with Africa Foot until 2028 and are clearly hoping to make the most of it in a bid to try and bring young and exciting talent to the club at low cost.
