Manchester City will consider a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma if fellow goalkeeper Ederson leaves the Etihad Stadium this summer, according to a report.
The Italy international has spent the last four seasons at the Parc des Princes since joining on a free transfer from AC Milan and he is now widely regarded as one of the world's best shot-stoppers.
Donnarumma has made 161 appearances for PSG across all competitions, keeping 56 clean sheets, and he has won 10 trophies with the French giants, including four Ligue 1 titles.
The 26-year-old played a starring role between the sticks for PSG en route to Champions League glory - the club's first-ever triumph in Europe's most prestigious club competition - and kept a clean sheet in the 5-0 hammering of Inter Milan in the final.
Donnarumma, who also kept five clean sheets as PSG reached the FIFA Club World Cup final earlier this summer, is now facing an uncertain future at the club having now entered the final year of his contract.

Man City to rival Man United for Donnarumma if Ederson leaves
Donnarumma is allegedly not looking to extend his deal with PSG and has subsequently been excluded from Luis Enrique’s**squad for the UEFA Super Cup** against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
PSG are seemingly preparing for life without Donnarumma as they recently completed the signing of goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Lille for a reported €40m.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United have been credited with an interest in Donnarumma, but recent reports claim that the former have not held talks with the goalkeeper and are not currently in the race for the services of the Euro 2020 winner.
Man United are said to still be monitoring Donnarumma’s situation, though, and they could now battle bitter rivals Man City for his signature, with journalist Fabrizio Romano claiming that Pep Guardiola’s side have made contact with PSG to ask for conditions about a proposed summer deal.
PSG will request around €50m (£43m) for Donnarumma, but this asking price is deemed too high by Man City, who will only move for the Italian if Ederson leaves the club.

Galatasaray approach Man City over Ederson transfer
Speculation over Ederson’s long-term future at Man City has been rife since the £27m arrival of James Trafford at the end of last month.
Romano adds that Turkish giants Galatasaray have made a direct approach to Man City over a deal to sign Ederson, who is considered their main goalkeeper target this summer.
Talks between both parties are said to be ongoing and the potential sale of the Brazil international could be key for City stepping up their pursuit of Donnarumma.
A separate report from Turkish outfit Fanatik claims that Ederson has already agreed personal terms with Galatasaray and a €3m offer has been made for the 31-year-old, who is out of contract in Jun 2026.
The latest update from Romano follows a report from RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who claims that Man City have already begun talks with Donnarumma’s entourage and will have no issues agreeing personal terms with the player as he is ‘very interested’ in joining the club.
