According to a report from Ian Rapoport, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love tore a ligament in his left thumb and is undergoing surgery today to repair it, general manager Brian Gutekunst announced. He described it as a “little procedure” and added that Love is not expected to miss any regular-season time.

Love suffered the injury after hitting his thumb on a helmet while taking a sack. In four NFL seasons, the 26-year-old has thrown for 8,154 yards, 60 touchdowns, and 25 interceptions while completing 63.5% of his passes. Last season, he started 15 games, posting 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns, and a 96.7 passer rating.
