'Very good': Theo Walcott says Jack Grealish's fortunes could completely change because of £25m …

As soon as Jack Grealish completes his loan move to Everton, his primary objective will be to hit the ground running.

At Manchester City, the Englishman’s stock has plummeted to the extent that City have been willing to send him out on loan — despite the winger being in his prime years at 29.

Grealish fancied joining Everton, which highlights his seeming desire to return to become one of the standout players English football has to offer once again.

Much like Jesse Lingard’s successful loan stint at West Ham United, the former Aston Villa attacker would be hoping to bounce back with a bang in Merseyside.

Theo Walcott says Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could be the answer to Jack Grealish’s success at Everton

Jack Grealish has proven his status as one of England’s best attackers over the years, which may perhaps mean that a successful spell at Everton could lead to him travelling for the 2026 World Cup.

Thomas Tuchel rates Grealish highly and as a result, the Englishman should back himself to get back into the former Chelsea boss’ good books if he thrives under David Moyes’ guidance.

Theo Walcott told the Overlap US’ show, ‘It’s Called Soccer!’ that playing alongside Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall would help get the best out of the three-time Premier League winner, explaining: “I just feel like where he needs to have that free role and we’ve seen the way Everton at times they don’t have the ball as much as in the possession side of things for Everton isn’t a standout.”

“Dewsbury-Hall though, on the other hand, very good footballer so they have to have legs. Yes. Very good signing. They need legs around Jack Grealish because I remember Arsenal we had, you know, the likes of [Mesut] Ozil and [Alexis] Sanchez, but then we had players that would do the dirty work for you and I think they need that. They have Dewsbury-Hall who would do that.”

David Moyes made a promise to Jack Grealish to convince him to join Everton on loan

Dewsbury-Hall, who Everton signed for £25 million (The Athletic) this summer will be looking to prove a point after being out of favour at Chelsea, much like Grealish — as Theo Walcott sees the pair forming a dangerous relationship.

The latter would also have the chance of securing a permanent move to David Moyes’ side if he lives up to the billing, with David Ornstein revealing the Toffees have a £50 million option to sign him permanently.

Furthermore, Moyes promised Grealish he would elevate his game once again by helping him return to his best next season.

As a result, the player himself has every right to be excited about his imminent move to Everton on loan.
