Manchester City do not seem to be done in the summer transfer market.
It was reported at the start of the month that Man City were done in the summer transfer market, but exits have now sparked the Premier League giants back into life ahead of the Premier League getting back underway this weekend.
Jack Grealish is set to join Everton on loan for the 25/26 campaign, while Tottenham are pushing for Savinho.
Both of these deals would lead to Man City making a move for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, which is a similar situation to another area in Guardiola’s squad.
A big European club have just made a move for one of Man City’s key stars, and if the player leaves, that would open the door for the Premier League giants to make a sensational signing.

Galatasaray make a direct approach for Ederson
Ederson’s future at Man City has been up in the air all summer, but as the season draws closer, many expected the Brazilian to remain at the Etihad Stadium for another year.

Galatasaray have been monitoring Ederson for months now, and after it seemed like the Turkish giants’ interest had cooled, Fabrizio Romano has reported that talks are back on.
The Super Lig champions have made a direct approach to Manchester City for their £35m goalkeeper, with talks said to be ongoing on both the club and player side.
The transfer journalist also states that this deal is key to City’s interest in PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is an option for Guardiola should he lose his number one shot-stopper.

Paul Scholes is one of many who had concerns about Ederson heading into the new Premier League season, and if Man City were to part ways with the Brazilian, it could be seen as the right move, having already brought in James Trafford.
The Englishman had been tipped to take over from Ederson as City’s number one, but that would not be the case if Donnarumma arrives before the end of the transfer window.
How Ederson and Gianluigi Donnarumma compare
Donnarumma is said to be open to a move to Man City, and if the Premier League club make an approach, personal terms will not be an issue.
PSG are currently requesting around £43m (€50m) for the Italian star, a fee City believe is too high for a player with only one year left on his current deal.

The signing of the 26-year-old is also a risk, as the goalkeeper is the total opposite of Ederson, with the PSG star being a very good shot-stopper, but is not the best with the ball at his feet, which has always been crucial in Guardiola teams.
It will be very interesting to see how the legendary manager approaches the situation between Donnarumma and Trafford if both are signed for the 25/26 campaign, as this is a scenario the Englishman will certainly not be happy about.
