The Golden State Warriors are the only NBA team that hasn’t made a move during the current offseason, but it may not be that way for long.
In fact, they currently have their eyes on a few free agents.
According to Ary on X, the Warriors have “expressed interest” in Al Horford, D’Anthony Melton, Malcolm Brogdon, Seth Curry, and Gary Payton II.
“A stealth pursuit of seasoned contributors to bolster a title run in the twilight of Steph Curry’s career,” Ary wrote.

All of these free agents have a couple of things in common: they are older, experienced veterans, and they would come to the Warriors on a cheap salary.
That is good news across the board for Golden State, because it means they wouldn’t have to break the bank to acquire them.
Horford and Melton have been tied to the Warriors since the very start of the offseason, and they seem like the most likely candidates to move to Golden State in the new season.
But Brogdon, Curry, and Payton would also be great, because it would help take some of the pressure off Steph Curry’s shoulders.
As Curry gets older and his retirement draws nearer, the pressure to win another championship only grows.
A proven and reliable star who can make plays, lead the team, and shoot the ball is exactly what the Warriors and Curry need.
The team’s front office has been tied up with negotiations around Jonathan Kuminga.
If they wish to get any of these free agents, they will have to address and solve that situation as soon as possible.
