Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end is known for his elite play on the field, having won three Super Bowls with the Chiefs alongside star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. However, that’s not all Kelce is known for these days.
Kelce is in an extremely high-profile relationship with global pop music sensation Taylor Swift. Apparently, Swift is rubbing off on him, as Kelce is publicly revealing an extremely vulnerable moment he had earlier in his life for the first time.
Kelce detailed crying in then Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski office in 2013 because he so badly wanted to be drafted by the Browns.
“I cried in Chud’s office and said, ‘ I will [expletive ] die for this city!’ I literally was in tears. I said, I’m sorry I’m getting emotional. I grew up down the street. I would f—king do anything to play for the Cleveland Browns.’ He looked at me like I was insane. I don’t think he’d ever had somebody just pour out their emotions.”
Fans reacted to the revelation on social media.
“Bro is now a future hall of famer, all thanks to not going to Cleveland,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Of course our poverty franchise didn’t draft him,” one Browns fan added.
“I’m sure he’s very happy that he didn’t go there now,” someone else wrote.
It’s interesting to think about how differently things would’ve gone if the Browns had obliged Kelce and let him play for his hometown team.
