Three-time NBA All-Star Ben Simmons remains a free agent despite links to multiple teams this offseason.
One of the biggest free agents remaining in the NBA this season is 29-year-old forward Ben Simmons.
The three-time NBA All-Star has seen a major downturn in his career over the past several years, but his potential could still intrigue multiple teams.
Despite interest from teams like the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, and Phoenix Suns, Simmons remains a free agent.
ESPN’s Bobby Marks explains Simmons’ situation simply: young prospects have replaced many veterans on teams, with most of this year’s draftees signing contracts.
“Simmons is in a numbers crunch. He is one of nearly 75 players who finished the regular season on a roster but are still without a home for next season,” Marks wrote.

“The primary reason? It starts with the 41 players selected in the draft who signed first- and second-round contracts. Those players have replaced veterans, including Simmons, on rosters for next season.”
Last season, Ben Simmons averaged 5.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists over 51 games split between the Nets and Clippers. He shot 52.0% from the field and 72.7% from the free-throw line.
