Bristol City Target Former Brighton Skipper Vicky Losada

[Emma Sanders](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c8e1xwg1zp4o) reports that Bristol City are in talks with Vicky Losada, former Brighton & Hove Albion captain. Losada left the club after two seasons, scoring four goals and making a total of 47 appearances in all competitions, having joined from AS Roma.

Beyond her role as captain, Losada also served as an ambassador for the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation. Her community work earned her the club’s PFA Community Champion award for the 2024/25 season.

Losada would bring a wealth of experience to Bristol City, having previously played for Manchester City and Arsenal, and winning the UEFA Women’s Champions League with Barcelona in 2021. She also earned 65 caps for the Spain national team.

Brighton & Hove Albion have announced the signing of Rosa Kafaji on loan for the 2025/26 season. The Swedish international joined Arsenal in the summer of 2024 and went on to make 19 appearances in her debut campaign.

Kafaji arrived in England from Swedish powerhouse BK Häcken, where she scored 28 goals in 61 appearances and featured in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Before her time at Häcken, she came through the youth ranks at AIK and made her senior debut in 2019 at the age of 15.

On the international stage, Kafaji earned her first senior cap in October 2023 after progressing through Sweden’s youth teams.

The Seagulls have also secured another talented addition, this time from Chelsea and on a permanent deal: defender Maëlys Mpome.

Mpome joined Chelsea in the summer of 2024 from Montpellier, where she spent four years. The central defender made eight appearances last season across the Women’s Super League, League Cup, and [Women’s Champions League](https://womenfootball.blog/womens-champions-league/).
