Atlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher says the Hawks could become a championship-caliber team in 4–5 years.

The Atlanta Hawks are among the teams labeled as winners of the 2025 offseason.

The Hawks were able to bring in players Kristaps Porzingis, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and Luke Kennard while retaining their core players. As a result, many fans now expect them to make a run for home-court advantage in the playoffs.

Although last year's first overall pick in the NBA Draft, French forward Zaccharie Risacher, doesn’t expect the Hawks to be championship contenders just yet, he says they have to stay patient to reach that caliber.

“We’ll have to be patient. I like to think that in 4-5 years, we could be contenders. But an NBA championship is extremely difficult,” Risacher told Clique.tv.

In his debut season with the Hawks, Risacher averaged 12.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, earning All-Rookie First Team honors.

Risacher is currently with the French national team, preparing for EuroBasket 2025. You can follow Team France’s roster, schedule, results, and exhibition games right here:
