Matthew Stafford joins SiriusXM’s ‘Let’s Go!’ as new host for 2025 season

Matthew Stafford’s status for the Los Angeles Rams’ season opener is in question, but not his future in the media.

The minute Stafford retires, he’ll be a hot commodity for networks looking to hire a high-profile name, especially at the quarterback position. Stafford has already shown his industry chops during hisFox NFL Sunday cameo last season and was reportedly set to star in Season 2 of Netflix’s Quarterback. The latter didn’t happen, but it just goes to show Stafford’s interest in the media.

And that will continue, as SiriusXM announced on Tuesday that he’d be joining the Let’s Go! show alongside Jim Gray. Stafford was announced as a host, while Maxx Crosby and Peter King will return for their second season on the show. He’ll seemingly replace Bill Belichick, who juggled it as one of his many media ventures last season before accepting the head coaching position at the University of North Carolina.

“Over the years, I have enjoyed watching & listening to Let’s Go on SiriusXM, and Jim is one of the true icons of sports broadcasting,” Stafford said in a statement. “To have a chance to work with him, Maxx, and Peter this season was too good to pass up. Nothing is more important than winning football games, but Jim makes it so easy and fun to do this on Monday nights that I am really looking forward to it this season.”

“Matthew is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the Let’s Go! team,” added Gray. “Since its inception, our show has featured legends Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and Larry Fitzgerald. Welcoming Matthew to the lineup alongside Maxx and Peter this season is a great addition. His insight and energy will make the show a great experience for our listeners.”

The fifth season of Let’s Go! begins Monday, September 1. New episodes will debut every Monday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
