Tom Brady Names NFL QB Who Reminds Him Of Himself

For years, NFL fans debated whether Tom Brady was the greatest ever.

Then, he left the New England Patriots and won a Super Bowl without head coach Bill Belichick.

With that seventh ring, Brady cemented his case.

However, some believe his reign could be short-lived, as Patrick Mahomes is on an even better trajectory and might be the only player who could challenge his Super Bowl record.

Now a FOX Sports analyst, Brady has given the Kansas City Chiefs star the ultimate compliment.

Talking on “The Joel Klatt Show,” Brady admitted that he sees plenty of himself in Mahomes.

“It’s always that line about who wants to win versus who’s willing to do whatever it takes to win. Everyone wants to win, but what are the habits and the daily habits and the actionable things you need to do every day to put your team in a position to win? Patrick Mahomes, to me, is the one that does that the most often. He brings a consistent winning attitude to work every single day. In the biggest moments, you can depend on him the most,” Brady said.

As Brady said, it’s all about getting it done in the toughest times and taking care of business when it matters most.

There’s no one better in today’s game than Mahomes, who is a three-time Super Bowl champion.

He’s the last player anyone wants to see on the other side of the field in a win-or-go-home situation, and it doesn’t matter how he’s played up to that moment.

That was the same sentiment everybody had when Brady was on the field.

He was never the fastest, strongest, most athletic or most talented player in the league, but he was always the hardest-working, most competitive and most determined.

Talent and athleticism can only take you so far, but hard work, a clutch gene and some luck can make the difference.

Even if Mahomes ends up breaking his record, Brady defeated him in the Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so he will always have bragging rights.
