Leeds United handed huge boost in pursuit of £35M star

On Saturday, Leeds United faced AC Milan in their final pre-season friendly. The Whites had been unbeaten, even after facing Manchester United and Villarreal.

Leeds ended up drawing with the Italian side, completing their unbeaten run in pre-season. The game showed that defensively, the Whites could hold up against better sides. The problem was in attack, where the Whites still seem to lack a cutting edge. Anton Stach was the standout in the game, and he even scored the equalizer.

Daniel Farke used the German’s performance as a reason why he should be handed his first choice targets.

“You can see why he was one of my key wishes in terms of signings,” added Farke. “He gave an outstanding performance. We’ve spoken a lot about his size and his physicality but he’s a really good footballer who is tidy on the ball.”

The Leeds boss has asked the club for reinforcements just days before the season opener against Everton.
