Jack Grealish has finally joined Everton after months of debate, and David Moyes can certainly get the best out of him.
After waiting and waiting for Evertonians, their new number 18 has arrived.
Grealish chose Wayne Rooney’s old Everton number as he looks to follow in the footsteps of the likes of the former striker and Paul Gascoigne.
Their £15 million loan move is quite steep, but Moyes will be hoping the 29-year-old’s services are worth it.
Paul Merson has weighed in on Grealish’s move, and he seems very excited about what’s to come for Everton, making a very bold prediction.

Paul Merson thinks Everton are going to get the ‘Aston Villa Jack Grealish’
After a dismal last few seasons in Manchester, the winger is searching to find the £100 million player he once was.
Merson is someone who believes a move to the Toffees will unlock that part he was missing, as he spoke to Sky Sports about the Englishman’s loan switch.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
“It’s a brilliant move for both parties. For Grealish, he’s been at Man City for a good few seasons now, and it’s a case of playing teams with everyone behind the ball,” Grealish said.
“Teams have been doubling up on him, and there’s been no space. He now goes to Everton, and he’ll have space. He’ll be one-on-one in a lot of games. He’ll get the ball and be able to attack players, commit them, and take them on,” he added.
Grealish spoke to Rooney before the move as the winger seems thrilled to be around new surroundings, and the well-known pundit is certain he will recreate his time at Aston Villa.
“For Everton, they are getting a £100m player on loan. It’s phenomenal for Everton. I just think this move ticks a lot of boxes. I think we are going to see the Grealish from his Aston Villa days.”
It has brought up debate, but the overall consensus is a good one from Evertonians, and Moyes, out of all people, seems delighted.
David Moyes says Jack Grealish’s Everton ambition is to get back in the England squad
It’s an exciting time for Everton to welcome a player of his talents, as Chris Sutton sees Grealish repeating Jesse Lingard under Moyes, which is a good way of looking at things.
Merson’s claim that he will have more freedom looks to be spot on as well, as the Toffees manager has revealed the winger will give everything to achieve his ‘ambition’.
“We welcome Jack to Everton, and we’re very pleased to have him on board,” Moyes said.
“I think we’re getting him at a good time because he’s experienced, he understands the Premier League, and we’re all fully aware of the levels he’s capable of performing to.
“I know Jack’s ambition is to get back into the England squad, so hopefully we can help him achieve that over the course of the season.”
This will only spur the 29-year-old on as he aims for his World Cup dream, and Grealish could debut vs Leeds United.
It’s an exciting period to be at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, as ‘super Jack’ could be the man to lead Everton forward.
