Newcastle United's move for Yoane Wissa in danger as knock-on effect now being felt by…

**Newcastle United are waiting for Brentford to give the green light to Yoane Wissa to join the Magpies, as the deal has been held up for a while, as the Bees look for a replacement for the DR Congo striker.**

In a situation that mirrors the one involving Alexander Isak at Newcastle, Yoane Wissa has told Brentford he'll not be playing for them again and that he wants to move to Newcastle.

Brentford have become resigned to this fact now, and the move has been expected to go through for a while now; however, Brentford want a replacement in before they give Wissa the thumbs up to move.

Reports had recently suggested that Brentford were closing in on a deal for Bournemouth striker Dango Outarra, but now the brakes have been put on that deal, according to Sky Sports' Mark McAdam and Keith Downie.

Bournemouth want a replacement for Dango Ouatarra, who would be the replacement for Yoane Wissa

Bournemouth now want to make sure they have a replacement in place before allowing Ouatarra to move to Brentford.

So now we just have to hope that whoever Bournemouth find to replace Ouatarra isn't going to be held up by their club while they look for a replacement, or nobody will end up moving anywhere.

It's the same situation that is currently keeping Alexander Isak at Newcastle, although the sums of money involved in that one eclipse what we're talking about in the Wissa-Ouatarra-mystery Bournemouth target chain.

Players being rebels can affect their move when it happens

----------------------------------------------------------

Confidence remains high that the move for Wissa will happen, although it's looking increasingly unlikely that he'll be a Newcastle player when the season gets underway this weekend.

Having pulled out of Brentford's pre-season, Wissa wouldn't be match-ready anyway, so would not likely have started at Villa Park on Saturday.

The problem with players downing tools to force a move is that when they get it, they're not ready to play. At least we're not spending £130 million plus on a striker we can't fully use for a few weeks.
