Chairman opens up and tells Chelsea£40M target could leave this summer

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish remained coy over the futures of Eberechi Eze after their Community Shield victory over Liverpool, but admitted the CHELSEA target could leave the club this summer.

Chelsea have joined Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal in spending some big money this transfer window to improve the squad enough to keep up their challenge for that Premier League title next season.

Enzo Maresca has added to pretty much every aspect of the squad and spent over £200 million on new players, but his business may not be done yet as it has been constantly reported that the Blues are still keen on Guehi.

Over the past few seasons, Guehi has really improved and showed that he is now ready to make that next step in his career, with his performances also catching the eyes of Liverpool, Man United and Tottenham.

Asked by HaytersTV if days like beating Liverpool in the Community Shield are important in keeping Guehi at the club, Parish replied: “Yeah of course but players come and go in football clubs. I mean it’s a life cycle isn’t it?

“Hopefully they’ll still be here, that’s what I’d like.”

IcChelseanews says…

Look, we are more than happy with the squad right now, there are not too many more signings that the clubs needs to make, maybe a proven central defender and Goalkeeper, so if there is a chance to sign Guehi, the club would be mad to not make a move.

And for £40M, it would be a bargain these days right?
