Vikings Announce 3 Roster Moves

The Minnesota Vikings are making tough roster decisions as preseason winds down and the path to a 53-man roster becomes clearer.

With injuries mounting and competition heating up across position groups, the organization has been forced to make several moves that reshape their depth chart heading into the regular season.

The Vikings announced three significant roster changes this week that highlight the challenging balance between managing injuries and maintaining competitive depth.

“The #Vikings have waived Brian Asamoah II, waived/injured Zeke Correll and placed WR Rondale Moore on IR.” The team announced.

The team waived linebacker Brian Asamoah II, a 2022 third-round pick who never found his footing during three seasons in Minnesota.

His release signals the emergence of Blake Cashman, Ivan Pace Jr., and rookie Kobe King as the core of the linebacker rotation.

Undrafted rookie center Zeke Correll was placed on waivers with an injury designation after breaking his ankle.

The timing of the injury leaves his availability for the entire season in question and creates another hole along the offensive line depth chart.

Perhaps the most significant blow came with wide receiver Rondale Moore being placed on injured reserve.

Moore suffered a knee injury during preseason that will sideline him for the entire 2025 campaign.

The former Arizona Cardinals receiver was expected to provide value both as a punt returner and offensive weapon after joining Minnesota.

Moore’s injury adds another chapter to his injury-plagued career and forces the Vikings to reconsider their receiving corps and special teams approach.

His absence creates opportunities for other players to step up in both roles.

Minnesota now faces the challenge of replacing production across multiple position groups while staying within roster limits.
