LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Waverly Warriors are coming off a 2-7 season but are hopeful for a turnaround under new leadership. The Warriors are led by first-year head coach Korey Ringer, whose uncle Javon Ringer, a former Michigan State and NFL running back, was the previous coach.
Korey Ringer says his uncle’s presence around the program has been a blessing for his players.
Waverly begins its season on August 28 vs. Wayland.
