Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix keeps getting asked about things head coach Sean Payton has said.
That’s the nature of the business when Payton declared this Broncos team could go to the Super Bowl and that Nix is going to be a top-4 or top-5 QB in the NFL soon.
On Tuesday, Kay Adams of the “Up & Adams” Show visited training camp, and she sat down with Nix and wide receiver Courtland Sutton after practice.
Adams wanted Sutton to chime in on where Bo Nix could rank among NFL QBs, but instead, Nix took the question and delivered a strong answer.
Bo Nix says Sean Payton’s Top 5 QB praise shows belief in the Broncos — and the Super Bowl goal “goes without saying.” 🔥@heykayadams | @BoNix10 | @Broncos #BroncosCountry @SuttonCourtland pic.twitter.com/dvMosgDwFA

“Listen, I’m glad that I’ve got a coach that believes in us as players to put that stuff out there. The good thing about our team, is I’ve said it already before, we’re going to have guys that continue to show up and work. They’re not going to let the noise and distractions get to them,” Nix said.
What’s a little ironic is Payton created that potential distraction with his comments to Yahoo! Sports and others, but Bo Nix is saying all the right things as the Broncos pursue their fourth Lombardi Trophy in franchise histroy.
“The Super Bowl kind of goes without having to say it. We’re all working for that goal and you can just kind of see in demeanors in guys and the way guys show up that is our goal,” Nix said.
Payton also met with Adams and spoke more about the Super Bowl, but for Nix, it’s simply about the grind day in and day out. Then, those good things will come.
“We don’t really have to talk about it. We can just go out there and be about it and practice hard and that’s just going to make each other better. You never know, we could go out there and have a great season. We could go out there and have to grow and learn a lot. But we’re definitely going to be trying, we’re definitely going to work really hard at it,” Nix said.
That’s the correct attitude from Bo Nix. Unlike his head coach, he’s not creating a ton of headlines, but he’s also not shying away from what Payton put out there in the universe.
