Enzo Raiola, Gianluigi Donnarumma’s agent, has broken his silence about the Paris Saint-Germain star’s situation amid interest from Manchester City.
Manchester City have set their sights on Gianluigi Donnarumma as his PSG tenure appears to have come to an abrupt end.
PSG have been unable to agree a new deal with Donnarumma and, with the Italy international’s contract expiring next summer, they have frozen him out.
Donnarumma has bid farewell to PSG’s fans after being dropped for the UEFA Super Cup clash against Tottenham, following the arrival of Lucas Chevalier from Lille.
Now, Raiola has spoken about Donnarumma’s situation and, in doing so, has made an interesting claim which bodes well for the likes of Man City.

Enzo Raiola speculates whether only the Premier League can afford Gianluigi Donnarumma
Raiola spoke to Sky Sport Italia about what has happened with Donnarumma over the past 10 or so days and, needless to say, he wasn’t best pleased.

“The boy is very sorry for what happened,” said Raiola. “The last 10 days risk erasing four years here. I’m shocked by this disrespect, it’s a castle that has collapsed.”
Raiola went on to discuss what happened in contract negotiations, accusing PSG of making “different requests”, and said he would consult his lawyers over the whole situation.
Raiola then suggested that only the Premier League clubs would have enough financial muscle to get a deal for Donnarumma over the line.
“Perhaps only in the Premier League can they satisfy the club’s exaggerated financial demands,” said Raiola. “They talk about respect, but at this point perhaps the respect is only financial.
“It’s not about abandoning a project and finding the best for Gigio. Even from an image perspective, we need to take our positions to understand how to deal with the club.”

How much Manchester City could have to pay for Gianluigi Donnarumma
Reports emerged on Tuesday night claiming Donnarumma has agreed personal terms with Man City, suggesting things are moving very fast indeed.
PSG’s asking price is reported to be lower than that of Lucas Chevalier, who joined the Champions League winners for around £48million in total – £35million plus £13million in bonuses.
However, City are reportedly looking to negotiate a lower price for Donnarumma, so they could well land one of the world’s best goalkeepers – who is not yet in his prime age for a keeper – for a relatively modest sum.
