Manchester United have taken positive steps towards adding another striker to their ranks after Benjamin Sesko, according to reports - with the club having 'entered talks' to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin after his contract at Everton expired at the end of June.
The report by talkSPORT states that Calvert-Lewin has sacked his agent as he continues to look for a new club, having left Everton at the end of the season - and that has opened the door for United to make a move for his services.

The Toffees icon departed the club at the end of their Goodison Park era after nine years on Merseyside, scoring 71 goals in 273 games, with a series of crucial goals helping the club into Europe and avoiding relegation in his time at the club - primarily under legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti half a decade ago.
However, his exit means he won't cost a fee for any interested club, and United have now held talks with the former England international as they look to further boost their ranks in the Premier League.
Calvert-Lewin - who is reportedly looking for a £100,000-a-week contract - is thought to be keen to keep his options open in the hope of clubs in the upper echelons of the Premier League making a move for him, with United fitting into that category - but whether Ruben Amorim's men make a bid for him remains to be seen.
Scoring 57 goals for the Liverpudlian club in the Premier League, Calvert-Lewin brings more than just goals with a dominating aerial presence, as well as an ability to hold the ball up - something that Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee both failed to show last season.
Of course, he will likely be behind new signing Benjamin Sesko in the pecking order at Old Trafford if he was to join, with the Slovenian having joined for £73.7million from RB Leipzig in the past week - but that Premier League experience could be vital for United as they aim to avoid another measly season, having finished 15th in the Premier League last season.
Hojlund has been linked with a move elsewhere after scoring just four Premier League goals last season, with a host of Serie A clubs thought to be interested in taking him back to Italy where he formerly starred for Atalanta - and if he does move back to the Mediterrannean, that would open the door for Calvert-Lewin to continue his Premier League career.
