Arsenal are looking to sell squad players as we near the end of the transfer window

With just weeks remaining of what has been a crucial summer for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, the club know that whether they can make any further game-changing signings could be dependent on who they can get out of the door.

The Gunners have brought in several players in an impressive window so far, £63.5million Viktor Gyokeres the headline purchase to end several years of the club crying out for a top-class striker.

Arsenal have been linked with a creative wide player such as Eberechi Eze or Rodrygo, either of whom could be a key difference-maker as Arteta’s side look to be more ruthless in front of goal in the new campaign.

It is arguably the Gunners’ final position of great need after several other issues, including rotation options in defence, midfield and attack, were solved this summer. But with exits still to be finalised, the club could have their work cut out to get a final marquee signing completed in this window.

Loanee quartet are ‘available to leave’ this summer

As Arsenal look to raise funds, four players who spent last season out on loan are ‘available to leave the club this summer’, report The Athletic - Fabio Vieira, Karl Hein, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Reiss Nelson.

Vieira returned to former club Porto on loan last campaign and managed five goals and six assists in 42 appearances in all competitions. The Portuguese arrived at the Emirates for £34m in 2022 but it has not quite worked out for him in England and Arsenal are keen to sanction a permanent sale for the 25-year-old this summer. Talks have taken place between the Gunners and Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart.

Meanwhile, Nelson has been on the books at Arsenal since the age of eight and spent last year on loan with Fulham, where he featured just 12 times after suffering a hamstring injury in December. The Cottagers have returned to negotiations over a deal to bring him back and the Gunners are ready to seal a permanent exit for their Hale End graduate.

Lokonga, also 25 like the aforementioned pair, has been out on three loan spells since 2023 and featured 22 times in La Liga for Sevilla last term, while 23-year-old Estonia international goalkeeper Hein made 32 appearances for Real Valladolid in 2024/25.

Premier League title winner for sale while defender ‘open’ to exit

The club reportedly hope to sell the 28-year-old in this window, though the four-time title winner with Manchester City is considering seeing out the final year of his contract and departing on a free transfer in summer 2026.

Versatile Gunners defender Jakub Kiwior is also said to be ‘open’ to an exit in a bid to play more regular first-team football, though Arsenal are in no rush to sell the 25-year-old, who featured 30 times in all competitions last season and can be deployed across the back line. The Gunners believe that none of the Poland international’s potential suitors have yet met their asking price to consider a sale.
