Liverpool have been, and continue to be, the star performers of the summer transfer window.
After clinching the Premier League title with ease in his debut season, Arne Slot could have been forgiven for taking a breather and basking in his triumph.
Instead, the Reds have embarked on an impressive and expensive shopping spree. Florian Wirtz has already joined in a club-record £116million deal, while Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez have been snapped up for a combined £150m.
But that might just be the warm-up act to their biggest deal of the transfer window, which could also eclipse any other team's business. The ongoing saga surrounding Alexander Isak shows no signs of abating - indeed, it seems to be gathering pace.
Here's the latest on that situation, along with other transfer rumours swirling around Anfield...

Alexander Isak has informed Newcastle that he considers his time there finished, whether or not he secures his dream move to Liverpool. The Swede has made it clear he wants to seek fresh challenges, but so far has been unable to orchestrate his departure, reports the Mirror.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has relegated him to training away from the first-team squad and omitted him from last weekend's pre-season double header. And it appears this absence will persist, with reports suggesting Isak is unwilling to play for the club again.
Rumours are swirling that he has vacated his rented property in the north east and has no plans to return. Liverpool have already had a £110m offer turned down, but could have another look at the deal if the Magpies relax their stance.

Guehi is eager to experience Champions League football and is enthusiastic about a move to Anfield.
According to The Mirror, official talks are now in progress and there's hope that an agreement could be reached.
