The Seagulls remained unbeaten for the second successive pre-season but came under pressure late in the 2-2 draw at Southampton and a 2-1 win over Wolfsburg.
De Cuyper says he can see patterns and there will be discussion in-house in a bid to iron out any issues.
He told The Argus: “I think it was a little bit similar to the game last week.
“We had a lot of control over the games.
“We had a lot of possession, we did some great things also out of possession.
“The only thing is that we lose a little bit of control at the end of the game.
“Those are points we have to work on. I think it is clear and we will speak internally about it, what the solution is to improve on that. Then we will get better and better.”
De Cuyper looks like being the only summer signing to make his Premier League debut when Fulham visit on Saturday (3pm).
The left-back appears to be making a successful transition from life at Club Brugge both on and off the pitch.
He said: “It is a little different but, in the end, football knows football.
“Everybody has his way, his style of playing. It is not a big difference.
“There are some small things, like details, that this gaffer wants instead of the gaffer in Bruges.
“Everybody has his own way of playing but, in the end, football is football.”
