Manchester United are among the Premier League clubs to have been ‘offered’ the chance to sign a World Cup finalist from Bayern Munich, according to reports.
The Red Devils have had a busy transfer window and Manchester United have been able to sign Bryan Mbeumo, Diego Leon, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha so far.
United have bolstered key positions in the United first-team squad under Ruben Amorim, but the Red Devils are expected to pursue further options this summer.
The Premier League club have been linked with signing a new midfielder, while United could also try to land a new shot-stopper before the transfer window shuts.
Ineos sealed their latest transfer acquisition ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign after United beat Newcastle to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

Bayern Munich face a tough test in keeping hold of Dayot Upamecano amid Man Utd’s transfer interest
Dayot Upamecano is no stranger to Manchester United’s transfer interest in the past and the Bayern Munich defender is now on the Red Devils’ ‘list of priorities.’

That is according to Christian Falk, who told CF Bayern Insider that the reigning German champions are trying to sign Dayot Upamecano to a new contract.
Upamecano, who arrived at Bayern from RB Leipzig in 2021, is out of contract with the German club in 2026 and the Bundesliga outfit are ‘pushing hard’ over a new deal.
However, Falk has revealed that there has been ‘little or no progress’ over a new Bayern contract with the 26-year-old former RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg defender so far.
Bayern’s failure to sign Upamecano, who reached the 2022 World Cup final with France in Qatar, could be an opening for United to try and sign the centre-back.

Bayern Munich’s transfer battle over the Man Utd-linked defender and the position of Dayot Upamecano’s agent
CF Bayern Insider reports that Bayern have become ‘frustrated’ over the situation involving Dayot Upamecano, with the contract talks ‘dragging on for a long time.’
The German publication reports that Moussa Sissoko, who is Upamecano’s agent, has now ‘offered his client’ to Premier League sides like United this summer.
Bayern triggered the 26-year-old Frenchman’s £38m release clause in February 2021 before Upamecano completed his move to the Allianz Arena that same summer.
Upamecano has made 152 appearances for the defending Bundesliga champions and has netted five times and picked up 10 assists for Bayern since his 2021 arrival.
