Manchester United could go on to get more deals over the line before their Premier League opener against Arsenal this weekend.

United host the Gunners at Old Trafford on Sunday in their first Premier League match of the new season.

Ruben Amorim is busy gearing up for his first full season as United's head coach after being appointed in November last year. The club have enjoyed an impressive pre-season and have confidence heading into the new campaign.

United have made three new signings so far this summer, with Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko all joining, while Diego Leon has arrived after a deal was struck in January. There is the potential for more new signings to come, though, with two players in particular being heavily linked with moves to United.

Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba and Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma have both been linked with signing for United this summer. Baleba is reported to be valued at around £100million by the Seagulls, while Donnarumma is expected to leave PSG either this summer for a fee or next summer as a free agent when his contract expires.

If United were to somehow sign both players, each of the duo would be expected to go straight into the first-choice starting line-up. Donnarumma would compete with Andre Onana for the starting spot, and could lead to speculation about the United No.24's future. Donnarumma's arrival would also lead to rumours about Altay Bayindir's future at Old Trafford.

When it comes to the midfield, Baleba could take on a role in a double pivot alongside club captain Bruno Fernandes in the middle of the park. United would also have Casemiro, Mason Mount, Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte who could perform in the role alongside Baleba.

The forward line is likely to be made up of all three new signings with Mebumo and Cunha on the wings and Sesko through the middle as the centre forward. Amad's versatility could allow him to be an option as a winger as well as a wing-back, while Joshua Zirkzee could provide competition as a striker. The same could also be said for Rasmus Hojlund, unless the forward goes on to leave Old Trafford amid speculation of a potential move to AC Milan.

Manchester United dream starting line-up: Donnarumma; De Ligt, Yoro, Martinez; Amad, Baleba, Fernandes, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Sesko, Cunha
