Manchester City will present offer ‘in next few days’ – Agent talks up PL move

James Trafford left Burnley and returned to Manchester City this summer, yet that hasn’t stopped the Citizens from chasing Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The Italy international’s contract expires in 2026 but has no future at PSG. He’s already expressed his disappointment over the treble winners’ decision to leave him out of their plans.

Manchester City could open their door for the 26-year-old if several claims from France and Italy are to be believed.

L’Equipe report the Premier League side’s interest isn’t new as they wanted the stopper last summer. It’s claimed they ‘don’t intend to miss this opportunity’ to sign him in this window.

Pep Guardiola has reportedly held talks with the former AC Milan man. The French outlet relay it and then report Manchester City have reached an agreement with Donnarumma. They are considering the best way to approach PSG, to avoid paying a hefty fee.

There’s been claims of Manchester United interest, but L’Equipe now report their local rivals are currently in the lead.

Italian journalist Orazio Accomando took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that there’s no agreement between Manchester City and Donnarumma.

He adds the Etihad club want to sign him and will send an offer to PSG in the ‘next few days’. Guardiola’s side, meanwhile, are working to sell Ederson to Galatasaray.

According to Sky Italia, PSG are asking for around €50m. They also spoke to Donnarumma’s agent Enzo Raiola, who isn’t pleased with PSG’s decision to leave his client out of their plans.

The agent also talked up about the possibility a move to the Premier League.

“Perhaps only in the Premier League can they satisfy the club’s exaggerated financial demands. They talk about respect, but at this point, perhaps the respect is only financial. It’s not about abandoning a project and finding the best solution for Gigio. Even in terms of image, we need to take our positions to understand how to interact with the club,” he said.
