'Step by step' for Greek duo as Albion squad work towards Prem opener

Stefanos Tzimas (pictured) had a brief outing as a substitute with an Albion XI who beat Wolfsburg behind closed doors last Saturday.

Charalampos Kostoulas was an unused sub in that game.

Both are being given time to adapt to the physical demands of their new club – having both missed games due to injury late last term with their previous clubs.

Asked about Tzimas’s few minutes in the 2-0 success over Wolfsburg at the training ground, head coach Fabian Hurzeler said: “Yes, and the other (Kostoulas) hopefully as well soon.

“So they’re both training, and I know it’s going step by step.”

Tariq Lamptey, Olivier Boscagli and Tommy Watson were also pictured in the first batch of photos released by Albion from yesterday’s session.

Transfer talk regarding Carlos Baleba and Manchester United continues in the background but Albion have no intention to sell him until at least next summer.

There will be more outgoing business with Malick Yalcouye widely thought to be closing on a loan at Swansea.
