Swansea City are looking forward to securing a loan deal for Malick Yalcouye.
The [Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/) midfielder attended their 3-1 Carabao Cup win over [Crawley Town](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/crawleynews/) last night ahead of an expected move.
Albion have made it clear throughout the summer that Yalcouye will have another season on loan after his impressive year at Sturm Graz.
He looked bright and busy in pre-season outings in Marbella and also had some playing time at the Amex in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Wolfsburg.
Speaking after the win over Crawley, Swansea boss Alan Sheehan said: “Hopefully we can close the loan deal this week and it will be good to have Malick in the building.
“He’s a player who will improve us. He has so much energy and he’s very highly rated.”
Albion would love to see Yalcouye make the sort of progress in the Championship which has been part of the development of players including Ben White, Yasin Ayari and Jan Paul van Hecke in recent seasons.
Carl Rushworth enjoyed an impressive loan with Swansea two years ago.
Speaking to The Argus in Marbella about Yalcouye after he shone against Stoke City, Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler said “Of course, you see today the game he improved. He had some great skills. I really enjoyed seeing him play.
“The numbers from Tony (Bloom) made again a great job!
“It’s a special player. He has something but we have to get an understanding if it is the right moment to leave him here, another moment or possibility to go on loan. We have to make the right decision together with him.”
