Wolves have just a few days to get new players in for the opening Premier League game with Manchester City – but one target looks to be heading to Bournemouth.
Wolves are stepping up their preparations for the 2025/26 campaign, and are coming into the new season off the back of a winless pre-season.
While results are not overly important, Wolves have not performed particularly well in the last few weeks.
It is clear that new additions are needed for this squad to be competitive.
At the moment, plenty of people are tipping Wolves to struggle.
Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer both think a relegation could await Wolves, and few fans would argue with that based on how the squad currently looks.
Amine Adli is a player Wolves have looked at this summer.
And it was claimed Wolves and Marseille both presented offers to Adli, but now there’s been a big development.

Wolves are in the market for another player to play in the number 10 positions, and also someone who could do a job up front.
Adli has been linked with Wolves for the last few weeks, with the Morocco international having been expected to depart.
But there’s more frustrating news for Wolves fans today, with Adli apparently now actually set to join Bournemouth.

Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reports: “Agreement in principle between Amine Adli and Bournemouth. Negotiations between Bournemouth and Bayer Leverkusen are still ongoing.
“The Cherries are confident to seal the deal in the next days. Ding Dong.”
In his report in Foot Mercato, Aouna says that the Cherries are ‘on the verge’ on signing him.
There is no word currently of how much the forward could be moving for, but Leverkusen had previously wanted around £26 million for Adli.
Wolves need to get ruthless after Adli blow
News of Adli’s impending move to Bournemouth is bound to frustrate Wolves fans further.
We have already seen Wolves miss out on Marc Pubill.

It has seemed this summer that Wolves have just not been desirable for a lot of players, and it is a concern to see these failed attempts to sign new players.
With time now rapidly running out before the Manchester City game, and before the window itself closes, Wolves now need to get ruthless and efficient.
Because if signings are not made, then the club’s Premier League status could genuinely come under major threat this season.
