Operation launched to sign West Ham defender – Ready to make move

There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Besiktas are showing interest in West Ham United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The former Manchester United player had previously been linked with a move to the Super Lig following interest from Galatasaray during the last summer window.

[Fotomac](https://www.fotomac.com.tr/besiktas/2025/08/13/wan-bissaka-operasyonu) report on Besiktas’ pursuit for a right back after missing out on key targets during this transfer window. The Black Eagles looked to be on the verge of signing Kyle Walker-Peters, but after reaching an agreement with the player he eventually signed for the Hammers. Free agent Bright Osayi Samuel has also been linked in recent weeks.

Subsequently they’ve now turned their attention to Wan-Bissaka and are ready to launch an operation to sign the 27-year-old.

It’s claimed they are ready to make their move for the West Ham man and have made the right back position one of their priorities going into the final weeks of this window. Besiktas have already brought in Benfica left back David Jurásek on loan for the season.

Wan Bissaka made 38 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring two goals. He’s contracted to West Ham until June 2031.
